Julia Merolle is a passionate, determined, enthusiastic, and hard-working filmmaker. Growing up during the rise of YouTube, she felt a deep connection to the film and television industry and a sense of belonging within its community. In addition to her skill set, she is committed to fostering diversity, both on and off the screen.
Julia has a myriad of experience within the film and television industry, her favorite roles being a Producer, screenwriter, and occasional teacher. She has held positions at Unrealistic Ideas, Motion Picture Exchange, GreenlightGO, and Purchase College, SUNY. Julia has also worked on commercials for ESPN. She has had work play at film festivals, notably the Cannes Film Festival, WRPN Women’s International Film Festival, and Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival. At Quinnipiac University, Julia held leadership positions within the Film Society, such as Co-President and Secretary, where she increased engagement and planned the annual Sundance trip, and collaborated with Blumhouse.
Due to her various roles, Julia is skilled in Google Suite, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. She approaches each project and task with energy, precision, and curiosity. She also loves to take on a challenge.
With both a BFA and an MA in hand, Julia is now seeking her next opportunity. She hopes to work somewhere that is both creative and goal-oriented, where she can apply her producing expertise. In her free time, Julia likes going to the movies, traveling, practicing photography, and spending time with friends and family.
